Somaly Mam Foundation's Voices Of Change Anti-Human Trafficking Event

Earlier in the Day before the Event on the night of April 6, 2010, I had the pleasure of meeting Somaly Mam - a woman, a survivor, a real hero. Even after everything that she has been through she presents herself as this radiant person who is full of life, it was an honor and pleasure to be in her company. Speaking with her was an eye opening experience and a breath of fresh air for she represents strength, perseverance and forgiveness. What an inspiring woman and also an author of her new book "THE ROAD OF LOST INNOCENCE" - The True Story of a Cambodian heroine. As soon as i am able to get through this book i will let you know my thoughts. So far i can tell you that after the first two pages i started tearing up and had to put it down because i was reading it in the subway and people started looking at me funny. So as soon as i gather all my strength and prepare my heart to bleed as my eyes go through the pages of this book i will share my feeling with you. Do pick up this book either way just so everyone can know what is going on in the world. Let this information pass from one mouth to another and raise awareness around from friend to friend; do not let this become another topic one avoids during conversations with friends. This is real, this is happening and people must be aware.
