NEW YORK, NY (Tuesday, May 21, 2013) - Luis Bravo’s internationally acclaimed entertainment phenomenon Forever Tango, will return to the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 W 48th Street), its original Broadway home, for ten weeks only with performances beginning Tuesday, July 9, 2013 through Sunday, September 15, 2013 and an official opening set for Sunday, July 14, 2013.  Five-time Grammy Award-winner Gilberto Santa Rosa will star as the first special guest star for the first three weeks of the engagement.  Future vocalist casting will be announced at a later date.  Tickets will go on sale to the general public starting Tuesday, May 28, 2013.

Created and directed by Luis BravoForever Tango has touched the souls of millions worldwide since its inception in San Francisco in 1994, where it thrilled audiences for nearly two years. Called “A must-see” by the New York TimesForever Tango originally opened on Broadway 1997 where it played the Walter Kerr and Marquis Theatres for fourteen months and earned multiple Tony® and Drama Desk Award nominations. Celebrated by critics and audiences alike, the international sensation returned to Broadway’s Shubert Theater for a limited four month engagement in 2004.

Gilberto Santa Rosa is one of the most successful Latin music vocalists in the world, having achieved, to date, fourteen #1 hits on Billboard’s Tropical Airplay chart, a multitude of Gold, Platinum and Multi-Platinum albums and five Grammy Awards.  Santa Rosa has the honor of being the artist with the most #1 hits on Billboard’s Tropical Albums chart (11 total).

Forever Tango is music, drama, culture, a way of life.  The popularity of tango has exploded all over the world. Sensuous and sophisticated, the tango is a feeling that you dance. A story is channeled through the flick of the leg, the tug of a hand, the tap of a foot, and the arch of an eyebrow. It’s passionate, yet melancholic. Tender, yet violent. You dance it with somebody, but it is so internal, you dance it by yourself. Sixteen world-class tango dancers, one vocalist and the eleven-piece Forever Tangoorchestra will leave you breathless.

The performance schedule for Forever Tango will be as follows: Tuesday through Saturday at 8 pm with 3 pm matinee performances on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.  Tickets, which range from $30.00 to $149.00 (premium seating ranges from $175 to $199), go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 via telecharge.com or by calling (212) 239-6200/(800) 432-7250. 2010 Excellence in Theater Award - UJA-Federation of New York's Theater Division Proudly Presents the 2010 Excellence in Theater Award to Nancy Coyne CEO of Serino Coyne Inc.

     Broadway's elite gathered to honor Nancy Coyne of Serino Coyne at UJA-Federation of New York's Entertainment, Media & Communications Division 2010 Excellence in Theater Award Dinner on Monday, May 24, 2010, at 6:30 p.m. at The St. Regis New York.

     The evening, emceed by Charles Grodin, treated Coyne, chief executive officer of Serino Coyne, the largest theatrical advertising agency in America, and her guests to special performances by some of Coyne's best-known Broadway clients, The Addams Family, Wicked, and Promises,

. Many of Coyne¹s dearest friends and colleagues, such as Roy Furman, Michael David, David Stone, and Rick Ellis, paid tribute to Nancy with a video acknowledging the many accomplishments she has achieved in the industry and philanthropic world alike.

     Currently, Coyne represents Broadway and touring productions of A Chorus Line, A Little Night Music, American Idiot, Enron, Fuerza Bruta, God of Carnage, Grease, Jersey Boys, Legally Blonde, Lend Me a Tenor, Mamma Mia!, Mary Poppins, Next to Normal, Promises, Promises, Race, Rock of Ages, South Pacific, Monty Python¹s Spamalot, Spring Awakening, Stomp, The Addams Family Musical, The Lion King, The Phantom of the Opera, and Wicked. Nancy is also the representative for the Metropolitan Opera, Lincoln Center Theater, Big Apple Circus, Cirque du Soleil¹s Banana Shpeel, American Express Entertainment Access events, and more. Her upcoming projects include Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, Leap of Faith, and Minsky¹s.
     Coyne has been recognized with high honors for her dedication to the theater industry. In 2004, she received the Tony Honor for Excellence in the Theater and was named one of the top 100 business women in New York by Crain's New York Business.
     In addition to her professional accolades, Coyne is a philanthropic individual who cares for those in need. She is a longtime supporter and contributor to UJA-Federation of New York, and serves on the board of The Actors Fund of America, a nationwide human-service organization for professionals in the performing arts and entertainment industries, and Rosie¹s Broadway Kids.

2010 Annual Gala: Creative Alternatives Of New York 'Broadway At The Boathouse...Encore' on May 17 from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Cady Huffman and Dick Latessa will be hosting the gala, with special performances from Kristin Chenoweth, Katie Finneran, and Sean Hayes. The guest list will also include Glee's Matthew Morrison.
Promises, Promises co-stars Kristin Chenoweth, Sean Hayes, and Katie Finneran performed at the Creative Alternatives of New York (CANY) benefit, Broadway at the Boathouse...Encore, which was held at the Central Park Boathouse on Monday, May 17.
Tony Award winner Cady Huffman co-hosted the event with another Promises, Promises star, Dick Latessa. Broadway veteran and Glee star Matthew Morrison and Billy Elliot's Gregory Jbara also made appearances.
The event honored Dr. Sandra Bloom, creator of the Sanctuary Model of trauma informed care and the Co-Director of the Center for Non-Violence & Social Justice at Drexel University.
The benefit raised funds for CANY, which helps children and adults across the New York Metropolitan area whose lives have been fragmented by trauma and mental health challenges by using the art of theater as a therapeutic tool.

Tony Award-Winner Dick Latessa, and Chairman of the Board, brought together Broadway stars to help raise funds for Creative Alternatives of New York (CANY) which uses theatre to help New York's most vulnerable children and adults. This year's annual gala, Broadway at the Boathouse...Encore, was held at the Loeb Central Park Boathouse yesterday evening, May 17, 2010. The honoree was Dr. Sandra Bloom, creator of the Sanctuary Model® of trauma informed care and the Co-Director of the Center for Non-Violence & Social Justice at Drexel University.
Festivities began at 6:30 p.m. with cocktails, buffet dinner, silent auction, and gondola boat rides. The program included musical performances by Kristin Chenoweth and Sean Hayes, Katie Finneran and Cady Huffman. Special guest Matthew Morrison also joined the festivities.
For over 25 years, Creative Alternatives of New York (CANY) has been helping children and adults across the New York Metropolitan area whose lives have been fragmented by trauma and mental health challenges by using the art of theatre as a therapeutic tool - helping them to imagine and envision new possibilities and discover their potential for change. Working in partnership with leading social service organizations and health care institutions, CANY provides approximately 1,400 therapeutic theater groups annually in residential centers for children, special schools, psychiatric care facilities, domestic violence safe shelters and community centers serving at risk youth.
