Shecky's Beauty Night Out- (BNO) in New York City 2010

I can honestly say it was a fun night...there were many interesting things from shopping to food and drink pairings and of course complimentary make overs followed by some heavy filled to the top and absolutely great goody bags.

I tried out a brow shaping with Robin Evans who is a genius at what she does. She did my brows brilliantly even in a low light by using her technique of plucking and brushing the brow while shaping it and for those of us who want to add a bit of color to our brows or give them a more definite shape, Robin Evans has just the right products.

As you cruised through the space the scent of creams and body lotions from places like The Body Shop, Jaguar Luxury Cosmetics, Edelweiss Soap Corporation, Dermalogica and many others filled the air. An intoxicating smell of alcohol was surrounding everyone as well since once you were inside you could sample various new alcoholic beverages that were on the market like the Bacardi Silver- Sangria, Bacardi - Silver Lemonade, Michelob Ultra- Passion Fruit, Pomegranate, and Lime Flavours, Budweiser Select and Select 55, BL - Bud Light Golden Wheat, and Bud Light and Clamato = Chelada was an incredible new canned beer that tasted like a Bloody Mary with a slight hint of celery, tomato juice, red coloring and a bit of spice. It is definitely for an acquired taste but i personally enjoyed it. Another very popular drink was the "Midori", green in but delicious in taste and presentation.

Shecky's Girls Night Out on October 6, 2010 in NYC

Shecky's Girls Night Out on October 6, 2010 in NYC

Once again this event did not disappoint....it had lots of great people, music and new vendors. I especially liked the on-site tooth Whitening System which is convenient for those of us working folks who have no time to do something nice for ourselves. Here you could have experienced everything under one roof from tasting new and delicious drinks and then drink and food pairings to pampering yourself with teeth whitening http://whitescience.com or clean fresh breath system - eatwhatever – amazing breath freshener --- EatWhatever

after consuming samples of Lindt Chocolate which was absolutely delicious while finishing the meal with the Skinny Water to keep your figure nice and lean. You could also walk out with a brand new Chic outfit at a very reasonable price and if your feet were hurting you from walking so much you could pick up a pair of really awesome and fashionable yet comfortable flats from Funk-tional-Footwear booth where the inventors and co-owners of the brand were there to demonstrate how their footwear will better your everyday life especially in a big city like New York. Katie Shea is a co-founder of Funk-tional-footwear and Susie Levitt in the video interview below will let us in on their new secret discovery of ending women suffering of wearing high heeled stiletto's in NYC and /or other large cities. They call them the "CitySlips".
So, who are the CitySlip-mates behind these funk-tional flats? We’re glad you asked… the CitySlips “story” is one of our favorites!!! Having lived in the city for three years as NYU students, Susie Levitt and Katie Shea were oh-so-familiar with the pain caused by pointy pumps and strappy stilettos. Their love/hate relationship with these fashion icons wasn’t helped by the fact that these petite powerhouses both stand no taller than 5’2”.
Susie Levitt and Katie Shea

Despite their suffering, they simply were unwilling to (totally) give up on these beloved wardrobe staples. And yet, corporate internships, subway dashes, dinner dates, the NYC social scene… all of the above led to too many moments of hobbling, near tears, back to their Union Square apartments. The front door never seemed to come soon enough.
One too many encounters with shoeless socialites and barefooted babes led to their AH HA moment... CitySlips was born. These entrepreneurial sole-sisters came up with a concept and design that allowed women to carry back-up ballet flats comfortably, compactly, and conveniently. Juggling classroom term papers and corporate term sheets throughout their senior year of college, Susie and Katie enlisted the opinions of friends, the help of NYU professors, and the time of many NYC professionals and mentors. Nine months later (their baby, literally!), they now have a product that is funk-tional, fashionable and affordable! They’re confident that all of you well-heeded women on-the-go will enjoy these fabulous sole savers.

Once you get into your comfortable flats, tastes some chocolate and had yourself some booze go over to the comfort body booth and treat yourself to a relaxing massage:
Now doesn't that make your evening of girlfriend experience complete? One would think so but do not forget that you won't leave Shecky's girls night out empty handed, everyone walks out with an amazing Goody Bag filled with fabulous products.
So here you go your experience is complete. Just now make sure to get yourself home safely. Do not drink and drive.

Sheky's Girls Night Out in NYC on June 2010

Every Girl and Woman must experience Shecky's Girls night out at least once when it comes to the city near you. You want a perfect night of shopping, drinks, entertainment, sweets, food, music, pictures, friends, fun and a goody bag to top it all then come and check out what you are missing. Women were lining up around the corner just to get in and start sampling all the new foods, drinks and designers had to offer.
Midori alcohol station was amazing with cute bartenders pouring delicious drinks and a hot DJ Music was surrounding the room
ShopStyle search:
This year Shecky's consisted of 3 separate rooms that offered something different to tend to your mood. In one room was a corner occupied by a cafeteria of the new microwaveable product from Lean Cuisine which you could sample while sitting down and in the other hand sampling one of the alcoholic beverages you picked up along the way. Also every 30 minutes there were tables for the attendees to experience a pairing of food with beer and a host precisely explained how to take each step in order to get the full flavors of each. There was a take a photo spots around as well; one was at Lean Cuisine where you can get your picture wearing a boa printed out and gifted to you after you sampled their delicious food. Another place was a few steps away where you can be a star and around the corner from there one could really enjoy themselves by taking a picture with one or two hunks working at the Veet booth. See all the pictures from Veet Photo Booth here Veet Photos at Shecky's
Anna Kuchma with One of the Hunk's from Veet - Erik
All the way in the first room was the are to sample various flavors of Beers, and might i add they were delicious and i don't even drink alcohol that might but the fruity flavors were refreshingly superb and really exited my palate and senses.
The Main room had everything and everybody like the Veet Booth, Midori Sampling, The DJ booth also in Green like Midori operated by DJ Miss Saigon, all the awesome designers with their unique merchandise, cupcakes, some more alcoholic beverages sampling in the back. It had everything your heart desired and all i saw was a sea of floating heads who were soaking in this shopping frenzy carrying around a point accumulation card to redeem for more free stuff by purchasing stuff in the first place and alcoholic beverages of their choice in the other hand. You had walk around carefully so someone would not spill a drink on you. I was cautious as i was also enjoying myself and then i noticed a line for something and it was for a makeover by Maybelline make-up artists right there and then you can sit in their chair and get your make-up done by a professional artist and walk out looking like a million bucks accompanied by a large Sheky's goody bag.
Last room had more shopping and more unique and up and coming fashion, make-up, jewelry and accessories designers whipping out all the goodies that they brought up for grabs at excellent sale prices. The best part of that room was the fact that it had the table where your Goody Bag could be picked up and thus many women flocked to it pretty quickly forming a nice nonuniform line and then looking for a place to sit down most of the girls with their their friends were sitting on the floor and discovering the contents of the bag. Some were trading or giving away the things they did not want or needed but overall it was a blast and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves, and i am sure unlimited alcohol had a helping hand in that.
Here is the breakdown of all the things I've seen and tried and more to come. Come and take a tour with me and have fun, lets go window shopping.
